So my mother and I took advantage of the beautiful New Orleans weather we've been getting lately and hit Magazine for a brunch date and some serious shopping. One thing I love about printed sundresses is that you can always change up your look by layering a denim vest, pullover knits, or a linen blazer. Easy, breezy! Spruced up my outfit by adding a few of my favorite jewelry pieces from Stella & Dot. Made sure to keep it casual by throwing on a pair of sneakers. We stopped by one of my favorite Magazine Street boutiques, Armoire, and saw this old corner store across the street and thought it was a perfect photo op! Can't wait to post what goodies I scored! HAUS 131 will also be teaming up with Armoire next weekend for a Spring/Summer fashion show at the Metropolitan! More details coming soon!

So I'm going to speak for all of us NOLA gals by saying one of the best things about traveling to busy cities is getting to shop at H&M and Zara! Unfortunately, we don't have an H&M or Zara, yet, so when I recently went to Dallas market for HAUS 131, shopping was the top of my to-do list! I racked up on tons of goodies, including my new favorite aztec sweater. My roommate bought these shorts from Forever a while back (but in blue), and I was completely obsessed with them. They are super thick and heavy, so when she told me they were from F21, I did NOT believe her. During my Dallas shopping extravaganza, I found them in red! SOLD! :)

I tend to wear sweaters like this with super fun bottoms like a leather skirt, colored shorts, or even boyfriend jeans with sneakers! Don't be afraid to dress up your casual/comfy sweaters!

One thing you should know about me....I'm almost positive I was a hippie in my past life. Also, I la-la-LOVE a good palazzo pant! Especially when I come across an awesome print like these I scored from HAUS 131! This was my second time wearing them (first time was in the Bahamas), and with festival season right around the corner, I plan on wearing them a whole lot more. My favorite way to pair palazzo/wide leg pants are with graphic tees, denim vests, chambray shirts, or plain tanks with tons of accessories. Want to dress them up? Opt for a silky tank, throw on a statement necklace, and grab a clutch and you are good to go!

One of my favorite things about Spring is that I get to bust out all of the pastels in my closet, including my favorite color, lavender! So naturally, when HAUS 131 received this lavender animal skull tee, I had to have it. I love the girly color with the contrast of an edgy graphic! I'm not very edgy when it comes to my style, so I try to tone down edgy elements like studs, spikes, and graphics with floral prints and soft hues. 

P.S. I love wearing ankle socks with my booties!
